I did something good today. I called 9-1-1 today to report a large metal ladder blocking the third lane near the Embarcadero exit going north on the I-880. Part of me called because I was ticked off for having to break my car and the other part of me called because I just wanted to see what would happen if I called 9-1-1. I know...pretty sad. When I called, I had to wait about 1 minute to speak to someone. Imagine if this was really an emergency. Anyway, to my surprise I was connected to a CHP dispatch center and not to a 9-1-1 emergency center. Pretty neat-o experience.
